Brewing Artist Residency

This body of work was created during my Residency with Sophie Tea in London. Over the course of the residency, I spent two weeks developing these paintings, experimenting, reworking and pushing the pieces further than I initially imagined. It was a really important period of making for me, and I genuinely feel this is some of the strongest work I’ve created since leaving university.

The residency gave me the space to completely immerse myself in painting, surrounded by other artists and a really inspiring creative community. Each piece went through many layers, changes and moments of doubt before arriving at its final form, and I’ve loved seeing how they evolved along the way.
